J\u00f8rgen Berge, Pro-Rector for Research and Innovation, is pleased with the outcome and emphasises the importance of making research available to as many people as possible.<\/p><p>\u2013 Putting research to use is becoming increasingly important to our societal mission, and commercialisation is a key part of this. Derfor er det sv\u00e6rt gledelig \u00e5 se at s\u00e5 mange fra UiT har f\u00e5tt denne st\u00f8tten fra Forskningsr\u00e5det i \u00e5r, sier Berge.<\/p><p>It is therefore very encouraging to see that so many projects from UiT have received this funding from the Research Council of Norway this year,\u201d says Berge. The projects range from health and medical technology to language, microscopy and diagnostics. Among other things, the researchers will investigate new methods for measuring cells\u2019 ability to adapt, strengthen oral language to improve literacy skills, and develop more precise detection of parasitic infections. <br\/><a href=\"https:\/\/norinnova.portals.in-part.com\/\">Read more about the projects here.<\/a><\/p><h3><strong>NOK 500,000 for each research project<\/strong><\/h3><p>These are the five Norinnova projects, each of which has received NOK 500,000 in commercialisation funding:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/norinnova.portals.in-part.com\/0b3f3bca-7c27-4e5d-8ea3-2c4bcfebb10b?utm_source=technologies&#038;utm_medium=portal&#038;utm_term=latest\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CellTraceD: Making Adaptive Cellular Behaviour Measurable<\/a>.<\/li><li>Strengthening Oral Language for Improved Literacy.<\/li><li>Filtered Impulse Response-Back-projected deconvolution Algorithm for microscopy.<\/li><li>Universal detection of parasite infections through high-resolution microRNA signatures.<\/li><li>Endotrachealtube \u2013 A new tube for intubation with local anaesthetics to minimise pain and coughing.<\/li><\/ul><h3><strong>From clarification to a finished product<\/strong><\/h3><p>Funding from the Research Council of Norway supports the necessary clarifications before an idea can be taken forward to potential users and buyers. This may involve mapping needs and relevant markets, or investigating whether similar solutions already exist. Protecting ideas and inventions through patents may also be relevant for the different projects. <\/p><p>This type of funding can also provide a basis for a subsequent application for verification funding.
