Ten lucky startups will be selected each year to participate in Arctic Ignite. As a participant, you will receive an initial capital of NOK 130,000 to be able to develop your business idea through the programme. Maybe it's you too who runs away with over NOK 800,000 in the end?
Today, it can be difficult to raise capital for young entrepreneurs in Northern Norway who want to start their own business. We at Norinnova want to do something about this! We want to contribute to more businesses being established by young, promising and committed entrepreneurs in Northern Norway.
Arctic Ignite gives you:
- NOK 130,000 in initial capital
- Two collections with a competent panel where the focus is on your business idea
- Access to relevant networks for your company
- Ignite Day where you get to present your idea in front of a jury
- Three of the companies will receive an entrepreneurial grant of half a million kroner each
- People's prize: One of the companies will receive NOK 200,000, voted for by the people
Arctic Ignite is looking for:
- Young entrepreneurs under the age of 35 in northern Norway
- Exciting and innovative business ideas
- Ideas with international potential
- Ideas that have regional repercussions
- If you already have a company, it must be newly established and under 5 years old
Meet the Arctic Ignite expert panel
Head of consulting in EY Tromsø. Børge has been project manager and CEO of the Chess Olympics Tromsø 2014. Then went on to become general manager of the biotechnology company Olivita. Before he started as head of consulting in EY Tromsø in September 2022.
Managing Partner in Arctic Investment Group. Experience in early stage investments, particularly healthcare and real estate related start-ups. After the sale of one of the companies, Biim Ultrasound in 2022, he started Arctic Investment Group.
Renate Slettli Nymo
Regional Director Amedia region nord/Adm. dir Bladet Nordlys. Renate has experience with business development in JM Hansen before moving on as HR director in the same company. In addition to several years in Troms Kraft as CFO, among other things. She has strong analytical skills and a heart for strategy and business development.
VP Business Support in KSAT. Magnar has worked as a photojournalist, 10 years in the police and defense. From 2017 been affiliated and employed in Kongsberg Satellite Services AS first as HR manager, now as VP Business Support and member of KSAT's management team. Today leads a department of 21 employees.
Partner and regional manager in BDO Northern Norway. Kim-Are has worked at BDO since 2017, first as a senior manager and head of department, before becoming a partner in 2019. He has expertise and experience in management, strategy, and service and product development.
Partner in FIRDA Lauga is a partner in the investment company FIRDA. She has international business development experience from the shipping industry in New York and has worked as a consultant and entrepreneur in the IT industry since 2013. Before joining FIRDA, she was the head of StartupLab.
Commercial developer in Telenor Infra. Kjetil has worked with technology and new services since 1998. Long experience in Telenor, both as Regional Director in Norway, and Head of IoT and new business in Telenor Sweden. In addition, Kjetil has been general manager and innovation manager for Lab Northern Norway.
Investment Partner in Startuplab. Lise is an Investment Partner in Startuplab, which is one of Norway's most active early-stage technology investors. She has previous experience in Treasury & Cash management from Schibsted and BNP.
