Student IX is a free offer for students in Northern Norway. A student incubator for students who want to start their own business or those who have already established a company. We are a place where young entrepreneurs in Northern Norway, regardless of which university or college you belong, can gather and connect.
Idea evaluation
We take non-binding meetings where we help you assess your idea and how to proceed. Your idea doesn’t have to be finalized before you come to us, we’ll help you no matter what stage you’re at.
Consulting
We offer advice at whatever stage your idea is at. We have experience in developing ideas in different phases and can assist you depending on your needs.
Events and workshops
We have relevant events and workshops focusing on business development, financing and market understanding. The courses give you what you need to get started or continue working on your startup.
Office spaces
We have several hot desks at our offices for students to use. Here you will be close to other entrepreneurs but also business developers at Norinnova who can assist you whenever you need it.
Networking and funding
We have a large network that can help you develop your idea. This includes investors or others who provide funding.

I have an idea, now what?
When you have an idea, get in touch through the contact form to arrange a meeting with one of our business developers. Your idea will be treated confidentially. We’ll guide you at the stage your idea is at, and it’s never too early to get in touch.
I don’t have my own idea but want to work in a startup, what do I do?
You don’t have to have an idea of your own to work in a startup. Get in touch with us and sign up for one of the events we offer. You may meet someone who needs you and your expertise in their company.
Is it possible to combine a startup with studies?
It’s perfectly fine to combine studies and a startup but it may require some structure. One tip is to talk to your lecturers and ask about the possibility of combining course assignments with work in the startup.
